DIRECTOR / EDITOR
Since 2012, I have primarily worked as an independent director and editor. After submitting several funding applications to the Flemish Audiovisual Fund (VAF), I received support for two short films, EXIT and Nimmer. “Nimmer” premiered in summer 2016 at the Oscar-qualifying L.A. Shorts Fest, where it immediately won the “Best Experimental Short” award (Credits & Awards).
I often act as my own producer; directing actors, animation, and VFX while overseeing the entire visual style of my films. Additionally, I write my own screenplays.
I have also developed, filmed and edited concepts for visual shows for music performances, such as for the classical duo Art’UUR at Klara Festival in 2021. For Marco Borsato’s concert in 2019 at De Kuip in Rotterdam, I edited most of the show’s visuals & was on set as a jack of all trades. I also directed and developed the concept for one of the songs. Next, I edited visuals for a techno show at One Third Club in China.
I’ve created music videos for artists like Roland Van Campenhout, The Internationals, De Predikanten, Sending the Wolf, and Drums ‘n Guns.
I’m passionate about theatre as well. In 2018, I wrote and directed Het Patroon, a play inspired by Darren Aronofsky’s PI, for cultural centre De Schaduw. Additionally, in 2009, I co-directed a stand-up comedy show, Vieze Geile Knuffel, at Arenberg. I also assisted Wouter Deprez with sound mixing and projections for his play Koning Keizer Kannibaal.
ONLINE EDITOR
In 2017/18, I was responsible for the online version and mastering of over 900 VFX shots, as well as the grading, sound, and music for 12 episodes of one of the most acclaimed Flemish series, De Dag. I conducted quality checks, maintained daily communication with all parties involved, and created all backgrounds for every on-screen display visible in the shots.
ASSISTANT EDITOR
Over the past 15 years, I have assisted in editing both national and international films and series. I sync and assess the footage from each shoot, preparing all scenes for the editor. You might even consider me a “ghost editor” at times. Here are just a few of the many projects I’ve contributed to:
- Twee zomers
- Arcadia (NL)
- Paris has fallen
- Into the night I & II (Netflix)
- This is not a murder mystery
- Roomies
- Taboe
- Black Out
- Net als in de film (NL)
- De 13 geboden
- Deadline 14/10
- Code 37
- Bookish
- The Racer (UK)
- Een jaar op zee
- The Window (UK)
PROMO, EDUCATIONAL, ANIMATION
I have edited several promotional videos for Handelsbeurs, Ads & Data, and Museum Dr. Guislain. For the museum, I also created multiple films for exhibitions.
I edited a choreography for Sharon Eyal, who performed for Mankind—a setup in which a hypermodern robot interacts with and animates four televisions.
Additionally, I have filmed and produced several documentaries for ART’uur, Anima Eterna, and Barokki Kuopio in Finland.
In 2019, I cofounded a creative collective called Schermutseling, specializing in web design, where I am responsible for all moving images.
For Ghentian and Ghent in Motion, I researched and edited 360° videos and VR. For Ghent’s observatory, I created a promotional 3D and compositing video for a tabletop game.
My first project, back in 2008, was filming and editing instructional videos for UZ Brussels.
